The Volkswagen ID.7 tries to make up for the loss of the iconic Passat sedan, switching out the latter's gas engine in favor of a fully electric powertrain that allows for more space inside. The ID.7 will have a single, 282-hp rear-mounted motor at launch, with a more powerful all-wheel drive variant coming later. Range for the initial, single-motor ID.7 is rated at up to 350 miles.
