The iconic Mini Cooper hatchback is receiving a major redesign for the 2025 model year, which should hit U.S. roads by the end of 2024. The simpler design inside and out is exclusive to the hardtop-only Cooper EV, though Mini will be updating the existing gas-powered Mini for buyers who aren't ready to go electric. The new Cooper EV will offer two FWD powertrains––the 181-hp E and 215-hp SE––while the latter offers up to 250 miles of range with its larger battery. Charging times are identical for both models.
