2025 Volvo ES90

The ES90 is Volvo's upcoming all-electric successor to the S90 flagship sedan. Rumored to arrive as soon as May 2024 for the 2025 model year, the ES90 will be produced in China on a platform shared with the Volvo EX90 and Polestar 3 SUVs. It's expected to utilize a huge 111-kWh battery pack, offering up to 373 miles of range and powering either a single motor on the rear axle or dual motors that enable all-wheel drive. The ES90 will be a bit shorter in length than the gas-powered S90, but its longer 122.1-inch wheelbase should ensure a more spacious feel inside. When production begins later this year, the ES90 will compete with the likes of the BMW i5, Mercedes EQE, and Audi A6 e-tron.
