2026 BMW iX

BMW's X5-sized electric SUV is due for a mid-cycle facelift sometime next year. While it won't change too much on the outside (which may be disappointing for some), there will be plenty of changes in terms of tech and powertrains. The iX's trim lineup will be reshuffled, with the xDrive45 replacing today's xDrive40, and the xDrive60 taking the place of the xDrive50. At the top of the lineup, the high-performance iX M60 will be dropped in favor of the iX M70. The new entry-level xDrive45 is rumored to get a power increase, bumping output up to 350 hp. Power for the other iX models will remain the same, but the xDrive60 will see a jump in range to around 435 miles. The rest of the 2025 changes will include a new illuminated grille, different M-branded equipment for the iX M70, and the addition of a NACS charging port. The refreshed iX is expected to enter production in March 2025, and there will be no direct successor after this generation bows out.
