Lexus is currently developing an all-electric supercar successor to the late LFA, heavily based on the Electrified Sport concept car shown above. It's said to offer features usually exclusive to a typical gas-powered performance car, including an artificial manual transmission made specifically for EVs. This is all while enjoying the wild 0-60 times its powertrain brings, with the concept delivering a time of under 2 seconds. The upcoming supercar will also feature solid-state battery technology, allowing for an estimated range of around 430 miles. For those who just can't get past the lack of a gas powertrain despite all the trickery Lexus has crafted, a Japanese publication suggested that a plug-in hybrid version will arrive one year before the EV.
