Following the opulent jelly bean that is the EQS, Mercedes is gearing up to reveal electric alternatives to its smaller offerings, including the C-Class sedan. Early prototypes indicate that the battery-powered C-Class will adopt a more traditional sedan shape, and it's expected to be underpinned by Mercedes's new MMA electric architecture developed exclusively for entry-level EVs. Rumor has it that this sedan will use the simple 'C-Class EV' moniker in lieu of 'EQC,' as Mercedes looks to move away from the EQ nomenclature. A global debut is expected in late 2024, though we won't be seeing the C-Class EV on U.S. roads until at least 2025.
