2026 Volkswagen Atlas

Volkswagen's largest SUV has been living on the same bones since its debut in 2017, so it's about time the ongoing set of refreshes give way to a full redesign. That time is near, as camouflaged prototypes have recently been spotted covering up the second-generation Atlas, which could arrive sometime in 2026, according to reports. The SUV will continue to be offered in a smaller, two-row Atlas Cross Sport body style alongside the cavernous three-row version, and it's very likely that a combustion engine will remain under the hood. Since the current Atlas just dropped its V6 engine in favor of a smaller four-cylinder, the second-generation SUV might not bring too many changes under the hood, aside from the possible introduction of a hybrid variant. Otherwise, the most notable changes will be reserved for new exterior styling and a completely revamped interior.
