The next-generation 3-Series based on BMW's Neue Klasse platform is on the way, and it will inevitably spawn a hotter M3 variant. While the headline-grabber will be a new fully-electric variant, the next M3 will still offer a gas-powered option alongside it. The gas powertrain will likely be an updated version of the current S58 six-cylinder. As for the M3 EV, rumor has it that power will exceed 1,000 horses thanks to a powerful quad-motor setup. While the next gas version won't be providing numbers like that, it's great to see that BMW is sticking to making what enthusiasts will truly want.
