Following the announcement of a long-awaited new subcompact SUV earlier this year, Acura has revealed some more details on the newly-confirmed entry-level model. It will go by the name of ADX, sitting alongside the Integra hatchback as a "gateway" model for the brand.
While the name is about as far as Acura is willing to go, it's been highly speculated that the ADX will share its underpinnings with the Honda Civic and HR-V crossover. It is also likely to share the Integra's 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which delivers around 200 hp. This powertrain is also found in the Honda Civic Si. Power will be sent to the wheels through either a CVT or a more conventional automatic transmission.

When the ADX joins Acura's SUV lineup in early 2025, it will slot below the CR-V-sized RDX crossover, and is expected to compete directly with the Lexus UX, Audi Q3, BMW X1, and Mercedes GLA. Based on the pricing set by rivals, the ADX could cost slightly more than the $32,995 Integra, leaning closer to the $40,000 mark.
