Polestar has brought a truckload of cars to this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Polestar 2 BST returns to Goodwood with an updated Edition 230 model, and the Polestar 3 crossover––one of the brand's latest models––has already made its first Goodwood debut. But there's another model that ran the hillclimb yesterday that Polestar hasn't fully revealed yet, with the automaker showing off a final prototype of its Polestar 5 electric four-door.

The Polestar 5 won't enter production until 2024, but the prototype shown at Goodwood gives us our best look yet at the new EV. Unlike the development mule shown at last year's event, it appears that the 5 is wearing a full production body under its sleek gray livery. The four-door EV stays close to the Precept concept car that previewed it, with a smooth coupe-like roofline and flush door handles. It also seems that the 5 has adopted a solid panel in place of a rear window, with cameras doing the job like the latest Polestar 4 crossover.

We already know that the Polestar 5 will get power from a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain, producing as much as 871 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Polestar says it plans to offer a range of 600 kilometers, which equates to around 372 miles on a single charge.

In total, Polestar sent nearly its entire lineup through the hillclimb yesterday. Aside from the new Polestar 3 and 5, we saw the refreshed 2024 Polestar 2 sedan make its first Goodwood appearance, alongside the aforementioned BST Edition 230. The Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid coupe went through the course as well, despite being discontinued in 2022. Polestar's static display at Goodwood includes the Polestar 3 and rear-wheel drive Polestar 2, alongside the O2 roadster concept that will translate into a production Polestar 6 in 2026.
