The newly-redesigned QX80 may be a sign of life for Infiniti, but that sumptuous flagship SUV couldn't hide the rest of the aging lineup even if it tried. Infiniti has just finished off the last of its sedans with the departure of the Q50, and the automaker's first EV is said to be facing continuous delays. Now, the QX50 and QX55 are reportedly living on borrowed time. When a pair of crossovers are rumored to be on the chopping block, you know things are getting dire.

Infiniti's small crossover duo is rumored to exit production around August of 2026, before both models are indirectly replaced by a rebadged version of the next-generation Nissan Rogue. That model will bring fresh air to the entry-level side of the lineup, likely becoming the first Infiniti to offer a hybrid variant.

While the yet-to-be-named crossover will carry on the QX50's legacy in spirit, Infiniti's upscale take on the Rogue will not offer a coupe variant to replace the QX55, as that model has failed to impress the bean counter since its debut for the 2022 model year. In fact, only 5,417 units were sold in North America in 2023––and that was considered to be its best year so far. Here's to hoping the brand's incoming rebirth can successfully revive those sales charts.
