At Monterey Car Week this past weekend, we saw plenty of fancy metal break cover. From the $25 million Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail to the Kia EV6 Limited Edition––wait, what? Yes, you read that right. There's a new special edition for Kia's battery-powered EV6, and the venue in which it debuted was none other than The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, sitting alongside all the Bugattis and Bentleys of the world.

The EV6 Limited Edition, whose full name is the Kia EV6 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year Limited Edition, commemorates, well, the fact that it won the 2023 NACTOY award this past January. Only 1,000 examples of the special edition EV are being built, mixing together the feature contents of the Wind and higher-end GT-Line trims. This exclusive EV6 can be identified by its Deep Forest Green paint, as the hue was developed specifically for this model.

The Limited Edition features front and rear bumpers carried over from the EV6 Wind, with a black finish added to their lower sections. The same shade of black can also be found on the wheel arch moldings, rocker panels, and side mirrors. A hint of GT-Line is added with 20-inch alloy wheels sourced directly from that trim.

Nicely accompanying the EV6's Deep Forest Green exterior paint is its Desert Beige interior, which features NACTOY medallions throughout. Features include heated seats in front and rear, a heated steering wheel, and a sunroof, along with the same group of safety features found in the EV6 GT-Line.

The EV6 Limited Edition is powered by the same dual-motor powertrain as regular models, powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack to produce a total of 221 hp. Pricing for this model hasn't been announced yet, but some of the 1,000 units were already spotted at dealers prior to its official reveal.

Is this EV6 Limited Edition laudable or laughable?
