Mazda is going full speed ahead with its shift upmarket, and as a result buyers should expect to start paying a bit more. One such example would be the CX-30, the brand's smallest crossover, which has seen a considerable price bump for the 2024 model year. Window stickers for the base 2.5 S model have inflated by $2,045, raising the starting price to $26,370. The increase isn't for nothing, though, as there is some more standard equipment on offer.

The entry-level 2.5 S justifies its noticable price increase with a newly standard blind-spot monitor and rear-cross traffic alert, but that's just about where the changes end. Note that lower-end CX-30 models are powered by a 191-hp 2.5 liter inline-four, sending power to all four wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.

Next is the Select Sport, which replaces the Select for the 2024 lineup, and it starts at $27,875. Another new trim is the Carbon Turbo, which sits higher up on the CX-30's trim ladder and offers the more powerful, 250-hp turbocharged 2.5 liter inline-four for a lower price. It can be easily identified thanks to its exclusive Zircon Sand exterior paint, which can be paired with trim-specific Terracotta faux leather and black suede upholstery. The Carbon Turbo may be cheaper than the other Turbo models, but it still starts at $32,790. All CX-30 Turbo models upgrade from the 8.8-inch display found on lower trims to a larger 10.3-inch unit. These versions also add wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a wireless phone charger.

Expect to see the 2024 CX-30 begin hitting dealers later this fall.

Would you still consider the CX-30 despite its higher price?
