There's a lot going on over at Mini at the moment, as the brand prepares to reveal a whole new model lineup, consisting of a redesigned Cooper and Countryman. The pair will also introduce an all-new design philosophy that Mini called Charismatic Simplicity, and as the name suggests, future Minis will flaunt a much simpler look. That's not to say there won't be any character, which the brand looks to emphasize as it highlights several cool design details we'll be seeing in the next Cooper and Countryman.
Redesigning The Wheel
The next generation of Minis gets a redesigned steering wheel. The standard wheel, which is not shown here, adopts a simple two-spoke design, while the optional upgraded wheel has a very cool-looking third spoke that's made entirely of cloth. The updated wheel is also finished in flashy Vibrant Silver accents.
The Actual Wheels Get Some Attention Too
Tired of wheels yet? We hope not, because while they were at it, Mini decided to give the actual wheels an upgrade as well. There will be at least two new wheel designs on offer when the revamped Cooper and Countryman make their debuts, with the Countryman prototype above wearing a clean set of six-spoke wheels that has a flat silver blade for each individual spoke. Mini also teased a more complex multi-spoke design, which features thin silver lines laid atop a layer of gloss black.
New Seats With Premium Touches
The seats get some nice touches as well, including a cloth pattern integrated into the bolsters that adds a subtle splash of color. The seats themselves consist of leather, and they flaunt a perforated 'M' pattern that adds a sense of true attention to detail. The seats shown here also feature white contrast stitching and piping.
Are you looking forward to a new generation of Mini?
