FCA and PSA are major brands separately, but they are merging next year forming the fourth largest automaker in the world. it’s exciting, since FCA is struggling, so PSA’s resources should definitely improve their brands. FCA‘s resources will also benefit PSA, as well. The merger will bring many automakers under their umbrella, including Chrysler, Dodge, SRT, Jeep, Ram, Mopar, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Abarth, Lancia, Maserati, Peugeot, Opel, Vauxhall, Citroen, DS, and parts of Ferrari that Fiat owns. Chrysler models could potentially morph into rebadged Peugeot’s or Citroen’, rather than the brands coming here themselves.
Stellantis has nothing to do with either automaker, but it’s a pretty cool name. It sounds more like an EV startup or an ocean resort. Although some might dislike the new name, it’s way better than FCAPSA.
We are so excited about the potential of this merger.
