The New Ford Bronco Is Now In Production

Writer: TurbochargedTurbocharged

The Ford Bronco was a legendary off-roader, until it gave up in the 90's. Now, the Bronco is back, this time with more competitors than just the Jeep Wrangler. The Land Rover Defender, Toyota 4Runner TRD, and Mercedes G-Wagen. Also, the new Escape-based Bronco Sport soft roader competes with the Jeep Compass and GMC Terrain AT4. Also, The reborn Bronco offers an available Sasquatch package with huge wheels, as well as Ford's latest in technology, SYNC 4. So, there's a lot to be excited about, and it shows with 165,000 pre-orders since July and the Wrangler trying to shove as many variants as possible into its lineup. After four years of rumors, waiting, leaks, spy shots, and renderings, the Bronco is finally in production at its Michigan plant, but not full production. It is actually pre-production, when factory employees learn to produce the vehicle to ensure that there are no issues.

The Bronco will offer 2.3 liter EcoBoost turbo-four engine, or a 2.7 liter twin-turbo V6. A ten-speed automatic is standard, but the Sasquatch package offers a manual. A seven-speed manual is also available as a separate option. The sixth generation Bronco is almost here.
