2020 Geneva Motor Show Canceled!

One of Europe's largest venues has been canceled due to the spread of the coronavirus. Ever since the first case was announced in Switzerland, health officials have banned any events with over 1,000 people attending. The Geneva show was one of them. Dismantling of the event has taken place, and there are no plans for a later date.

The auto show would have kicked off today (the image is from last year's show), but obviously, that is not happening. Although, it has switched to the internet for this year, revealing most of the vehicles that were going to be there. The ones that were not revealed online are from companies that already announced other plans. For instance, McLaren will show off some new models at their own first annual McLaren Motor Show. Alfa Romeo's Giulia GTA debuted yesterday.

Here are some of the vehicles that were unveiled online:

2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This was one of the most anticipated reveals, and it matches more with the other newer sedans in the lineup. The interior is more modern, while the headlights and taillights join the new sedan style from Mercedes.

2021 Audi A3 Sportback

The new A3 compact car has been shown in just the hatchback style so far, but we can get an idea of what it would look like. With the nice refresh, there is a bigger infotainment screen, and more resemblance the the Audi Q3 and A4 on the outside.

Bentley Mulliner Bacalar

Bentley's exclusive 2 million dollar convertible is beautiful, and represents a new era of Bentley with its futuristic styling. It borrows much of its exterior styling from the EXP 100 GT Concept, and on the inside, it has a rotating touchscreen feature that is also in the Flying Spur sedan. It is also a limited-time vehicle, which tells why it is Bentley's most expensive model yet.

BMW Concept i4

Spy shots made the i4 look like a real upcoming model, but it is just a concept. Also, the iNext SUV was not revealed yet. It is a bit disappointing, but a true model might be on the way. The Concept i4 previews the upcoming 4 Series coupe/sedan, the production i4, and many other future (mostly electric) models to come. It basically holds the foundation of BMW's future. It is the final step before BMW's major upcoming plans really happen.

It is very upsetting that Geneva had to shut down the big event, but at least we still get to see what would have been there.
