The Buick Envision is just another crossover made by GM, and while it is pretty attractive, it is outdated next to the new Encore GX or Enclave. Now, Buick has surprised us with the 2021 Envision. It boasts Buick's latest design language and technology, as well as a more car-like profile. It is based on the Enspire Concept.
This redesign will help the crossover better compete in it's crowded segment, consisting of the Acura RDX, Mazda CX-5, Lincoln Corsair and Infiniti QX50. It is expected as soon as this winter with a 2.0 liter engine with a nine-speed automatic, which is currently available on the 2020 model, and the fancy Avenir trim.
The interior is way fancier with the new 8.0" infotainment system, leather seats and dashboard, digital gauge cluster and premium wood finish. More expensive trims like the Avenir might receive a larger 10" screen. In-car Wi-Fi and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity should come standard. Buick did not mention much about trims, powertrains or options, but we expect similar or better features than the outgoing Envision.
The current Envision doesn't sell great with its truck-like design and outdated features, so this Envision could be a winner.
