The Lexus IS recently debuted shedding its outdated looks for a newer, sportier style. The headlights and connected taillights are thinner and sharper, and the spindle grille has been tidied up as well. You may think of the RC sports coupe when you see it, so we decided to compare the two.

Design
The headlights and taillights are similar shapes, but we think the IS looks nicer. They also both have performance geared design all around.

Perfromance
The RC is obviously faster with its top speed of 168 mph, but IS still keeps up with about 143 mph. The RC runs on a 5.0 liter V8 that makes 241 to 472 hp. The IS F Sport has a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 311 hp. The RC also offers the 3.5 engine from the IS.
Interior
The RC still has a more luxurious, up to date interior, but since the IS itself is newer, it might have newer software and conveniences.

Verdict
The IS and RC differ in different ways, since the RC is better at interior and performance, while the IS wins over the design.
