With the 2021 TLX sedan on sales and the TLX Type S coming next year, Acura is just beginning their big revival. The next step is to unveil the 2022 MDX crossover, their most important new model. They have now released a short teaser video of its striking, new interior.
The colorful teaser goes throughout the spacious interior, revealing the long HD True Touchpad infotainment screen, French stitched seating, and digital instrument cluster. It looks an awful lot like the TLX sedan's interior. Although the TLX's dashboard is great by itself, it is crowded with too many buttons and knobs compared to Buick, Infiniti, and Lincoln. That minor issue seems to carry over to the MDX.
But, the MDX features the advanced Acura Precision Cockpit, luxurious wood and leather materials, 25-speaker ELS Studio 3D Signature Edition sound system, and ambient lighting. Also bringing luxury up a notch is the wider, more comfortable-looking seats with massage options in the front.
The MDX is coming in a week or two with the Type S Concept's sharp design language and the TLX's engines. A Type S variant and hybrid are coming as well.
