The Hyundai Tucson is Hyundai's bestselling model ever. The midsize crossover stands in a segment where being at the top is important. The Kia Sportage, Chevrolet Equinox, GMC Terrain, Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Subaru Forester, Ford Edge, and many more fight to attract as many buyers as possible. Hyundai's new 'Sensuous Sportiness' design language features a unique design that gives a different personality to each model. The Azera, Sonata, Santa Fe, Kona, Venue, Elantra, and now Tucson have received that treatment. The 2021 Tucson is inspired by last year's Vision T Concept. The LED headlights seamlessly hide into the grille, and when they turn on, it looks amazing.
Hyundai improved everything with this redesign. Besides the cool front fascia, the side profile has been revamped, including a sleek new roofline and window design, a readjusted hood, a longer wheelbase, sharp body lines at the side, and shorter overhangs. This gives it a large appearance. Over at the rear, the connected taillight bar has a sleek Mustang-like look. The windshield wiper is hidden underneath the roof spoiler, while the Hyundai emblem is placed on the rear window. Of the seven exterior colors, six are brand new.
The 'Interspace' interior design is very modern, with the dual screen setup and curvy lines.
Above the screen with climate-control functions, the infotainment screen above it measures in at 10.3 inches. The instrument cluster is also completely digital, as no physical controls can be found throughout the dashboard. Apple CarPlay, Hyundai SmartSense, and Android Auto are standard. A air purity monitor purifies the air if necessary. Destination search, remote locks, and remote start can be manipulated within the voice control system.
An eight-speed automatic is paired by a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine that produces 190 hp. The all-new Tucson Hybrid features a turbocharged inline-four engine. HTRAC all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive have new driving modes, Mud, Sand and Snow. Options, pricing, and safety technology have not been announced. The first half of 2021 is when the crossover will arrive.
