The 2022 LX flagship luxury SUV leads the way for future Lexus models with major changes, such as an amazing new touchscreen multimedia system and exterior badging adjustments. The new LX is now ready for showrooms, and Lexus has released the online configurator for the large SUV. The configurator has revealed the redesigned model's pricing, which starts at $86,900 for the base LX 600 Standard. In fact, the LX's MSRP sees a $30 decrease compared to last year, despite a plethora of new features.
All LX models include a four-wheel drive system as the standard drivetrain, just like last year. However, last year's 5.7 liter V8 has been replaced by a twin-turbo V6 across the board, following Toyota's riddance of V8 engines. The 2022 LX offers five different trim levels, including the $86,900 Standard, $95,000 Premium, $101,000 F Sport Handling, $103,000 Luxury, and $126,000 Ultra Luxury. All of these trims feature seating for seven, except for the flagship Ultra Luxury, which has a spacious four-seat setup with captain's chairs. All 2022 LX trims offer five exterior colors, which are Eminent White Pearl, Atomic Silver, Manganese Luster, Nori Green Pearl, and Caviar. The F Sport Handling trim features two additional color options; Ultra White and Black Onyx.
Upgrading from the Standard to the Premium, a power rear door with a kick sensor is added, along with an adaptive variable suspension for less friendly terrain. The F Sport Handling trim brings the pricing up to six figures, and adds exclusive F Sport styling. This includes darkened front and rear fascias, a black mesh grille, 22" forged rims with dark gray metallic finish, and a limited slip differential for improved performance. The Luxury trim costs just $2,000 more than the F Sport Handling, and removes the sporty finishes. Luxurious semi-aniline leather seating is included, and the 22" wheels gain a silver machined finish. For the best sound experience possible, a whopping 25-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system is standard on the Luxury grade. Finally, the top-tier Ultra Luxury model brings a luxurious four-seat setup you'd find in a Maybach GLS, which includes a recliner function for the rear seats and a sliding ottoman. There are also standard dual rear entertainment screens for the rear occupants to enjoy.
The 2022 Lexus LX starts at $86,900 and tops out at $126,000 (Ultra Luxury trim without options), and a US release is expected to release in the first quarter of this year.
*Prices appear slightly higher due to a $1,345 processing and handling fee.
