2023 Kia Telluride Coming To New York With A Redesigned Interior

The award-winning Telluride is such a sales success for Kia, the company even calls it the 'Selluride.' The family SUV gets a lot of things right, but the Korean automaker wants to make it even better for 2023. Kia's facelifted crossover will be on display alongside the next-generation Niro at the New York Auto Show, which commences next week. Two teaser images illustrate the Telluride's updated front end, as well as a completely revamped interior.

Design is already one of the Telluride's strong suits, but Kia is keeping it fresh with new headlight DRL signatures, which now take the form of two vertical lines. A refreshed grille can be seen with slight revisions, though it remains similar to the current version. The front bumper is where most of the changes are, though we can't exactly make them out. The fog lights seem to be repositioned, and the lower grille appears to be lined with chrome. Kia also announced the introduction of the rugged X-Pro, which will be an off-road oriented trim level that is already offered on the Sportage. The Telluride shown in the teaser might be the X-Pro version, as the high roof rails are much higher than usual. We don't get a look at the rear, but earlier spy shots indicate a revised bumper, and we also expect minor changes to the taillights.

Another image previews the redesigned interior, which sees big upgrades that hark back to the original 2016 Telluride concept. The tablet-style 10.25-inch touchscreen is gone, replaced by a larger display that connects with the instrument cluster, and is mounted lower on the dashboard. Almost every other Kia already has this setup, and if the latest Carnival is any indication, the more expensive trims could offer a 12.3-inch display. This new design also means that the old analog gauges will most likely be replaced by digital ones. The steering wheel is also revised, and the air vents now span the entire dash.

It looks like the Kia Telluride will set the bar even higher for the three-row SUV segment that it currently dominates. Its Hyundai Palisade sibling won't be far behind, as a refreshed version also be revealed in New York. Look for the new Telluride at the 2022 New York Auto Show, or check out the livestream on April 13th at 10:10 am ET.
