5 Things Chevy Should Have Done With The Blazer

The Chevrolet Blazer nameplate was revived last year as a Camaro-like performance crossover. Now that Ford and Chrysler are battling against each other with their 4x4 SUV offerings, it got us thinking. Did Chevy miss out on a chance that would've made them a more fun and remarkable brand again? It's too late now, since the Blazer nameplate was taken to be turned into a performance crossover. Even the Trailblazer became a subcompact crossover instead or a 4x4. Now, GM's focus is on EVs. No time to worry about Ford.

(Below is the Trailblazer of our dreams)

(1: Compete With The Other Off-Roaders

They could've made the Blazer a Bronco/Wrangler competitor, and sales would be way higher than they are now. It would've made the competition between the big three more exciting. Land Rover's Defender and Toyota's 4Runner would also have more to deal with.

(2: Don't Let The Trailblazer Miss Out On All The Fun

The Trailblazer could've been a Bronco Sport/Compass competitor. Currently, the Trailblazer is back, but this time, it's a boring compact crossover that competes with the Hyundai Kona. Seriously, Chevy?

(3: Make An Epic Z71 Version

Chevy could actually make a Blazer Z71 right now if they wanted to, but we know they aren't. Look a the 2021 Tahoe Z71. It looks so cool! (Don't forget the Trailblazer)

(4: Make A Pickup Version

Jeep did it. Ford is working on it. Why not GM? They have decent truck offerings, so those cool features like the flexible tailgate should be on the Blazer (and/or Trailblazer). Call it the Blazer Z7T.

(5: Make A GMC Version

GMC is GM's off-road boss, after all. They're busy with the Hummer, but those who want a smaller, non-EV version, the Blazer spin-off should do the trick. How about the Jimmy? Or the Typoon? Or the Hummer Sport?
