Hyundai launched its small Kona crossover in 2018, and it has sold well since. Its styling is starting to fall behind the other Hyundai SUVs, like the brand new Venue. Hyundai may be updating it for 2021, but it will be a while before they unveil it. Even though there is a decent amount of camouflage, changes will likely be minor.

The new Kona seems to be in the middle of nowhere, and it was reportedly driving on a frozen lake. The engine options either won't change, or they could be slightly rearranged. The front end might get cleaned up a bit, possibly meaning that the black bumpers could go away, and the headlights might get a new, more inspiring design when lit up. The rear may be the same way. The grille will probably get a bit larger, making the Kona look even more refreshed. Some new exterior colors would be nice, but the Kona already has almost every color available. It is almost certain that infotainment screen will be updated, likely getting bigger.

Above is a test mule for the upcoming Kona N Line. It will be cool to see a performance version of such a small car. It won't look exactly like this, but the wheels look like they belong on a Kona N Line. We expect the N to be revealed alongside the original Kona facelift with more cool sporty styling, and the same design cues as the facelifted version. If the Kona Electric also gets a refresh, we hope it has more range or more fun styling, maybe even a bigger infotainment screen than the expected size increase of the normal Kona's.

This image above is not the Kona, it is Hyundai new little EV, which may be unveiled later this year. The spy car looks quite ready for production. The styling looks like it will be a bit wacky, but with styling never seen in a Hyundai, since this mysterious EV is seemingly based upon the EV 45 Concept. The vehicle will probably be smaller than the already tiny Venue crossover, stretching the entry level vehicle size even smaller than ever. This EV will ride on Hyundai's brand new EV Skateboard platform, which was introduced recently.

We cannot wait to see what Hyundai has in store for the future.
