Bentley Celebrates 103 Years With 103 Cars In Monterey

Aside from the debut of the Mulliner Batur, Bentley has a lot going on at Monterey Car Week this year. Since the British luxury manufacturer is celebrating its 103rd anniversary this year, what better way to celebrate than to showcase 103 cars throughout the Monterey Peninsula?

Each of the 103 cars will represent a single year in the company's long history. The "friendly takeover" will begin on August 16th, with a convoy of Bentleys traveling from Los Angeles to Monterey. A couple of days later, on the 18th, Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark will make his way around Laguna Seca in the Blower Car Zero. The Speed 8, which was the 2003 24 hours of Le Mans winner, will also make an appearance there.

Next, the automaker will host a VIP event at the Home of Bentley, which is located just 219 yards (200 meters) away from Pebble Beach. It will oversee the unveiling of Bentley's new "signature look and feel" for its events, which was curated by the brand's Design team. Outside the French-style home, there will be a display of six present-day Bentley models that will change every day. Another event will be hosted by The Macallan, where it will discuss the next stages in its partnership with Bentley.

The grand finale of Bentley's birthday celebration will take place at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 19th. This is where the automaker will showcase a collection of vehicles from its past and present, as well as a sneak peek into the future. The display will start with the Blower Car Zero and Speed 8, and will also feature the company's current Mulliner and Hybrid models. The centerpiece of the collection will be the Bentayga EWB Mulliner Gallery, representing the pinnacle of Mulliner's coachbuilding expertise. Bentley will also be showing off the first customer Bacalar in the US, Bacalar No. 8, featuring a color palette of white, blue, and orange.

Don't forget to check out the unveiling of Mulliner's next coach-built creation, the Batur grand tourer, on August 20th at 8:00 PM PST.

What's more exciting to you: seeing 103 Bentleys in one place, or the debut of the Batur?
