Bentley has provided a cryptic preview of a new addition to its four-car lineup, which currently consists of the Flying Spur sedan, the Continental coupe and convertible, and the Bentayga SUV. Bentley said that the new model will represent the pinnacle of its lineup, offering more luxury and performance than anything else out there.
The luxury automaker said that this new model has been "long-awaited," and the only new Bentley that we know about is a long-wheelbase version of the Bentayga. This would make much more sense than a completely new vehicle, as the latter would have been announced much sooner. Bentley also gave us some sneaky hints that further support our guess, including "designers, engineers, and craftspeople have gone to new lengths combine luxury, technology and performance," and "with an extra dimension of on-board wellness."
Bentley also provided a teaser image showing the vehicle's high-tech cabin, featuring illuminated purple diamonds surrounded by mood lighting. This photo indicates that the new model could introduce some cool tech that no other Bentley offers, even if it's based on the existing Bentayga.
The long-wheelbase Bentayga, or whatever this "long-awaited" vehicle is, will be fully revealed on Tuesday, May 10th, at 7:30 am EST.
