Cadillac's upcoming Lyriq crossover and Celestiq flagship sedan represent a new era for Cadillac. They are both EVs, and introduce a new naming system that features real names, instead of 'CT' and 'XT'. Now, they've filed trademark for two names: Optiq and Symboliq.
We don't know what they will be, or if they are even going to use them (some automakers trademark several names just to keep them for certain reasons). But, they could be new battery-electric vehicles that could eventually replace current models. We also think they might be new names to go with current model facelifts. For example, the CT5 might become Optiq when it gets a light refresh at some point.
