Sadly, the legendary show's organizers had to give up its convention center in order to make it the city's temporary hospital for coronavirus patients. Yes, Geneva went first, following by the NY show's postponement, of course Beijing had to postpone, Paris was cancelled, and now, one of the Motor City's most famous venues, has to go. This year would have been the first year that the show took place in June, after previous years had record low attendances with the show being in January. If Detroit were to keep the previous date, the show would have happened. Now, the show will not be around for two and a half years because of the show now being in June. This is sad, but at least New York and Beijing will have their shows later this year.
