Monterey Car Week is around the corner once again, as the event begins on August 17th. The Quail A Motorsports Gathering will take place the following Friday, with the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance wrapping things up on Sunday. As usual, the most high-end automakers will be making their appearances, and most of them are using the California coast as a venue for multiple big reveals. We'll cover all of them right here as they are announced.
1. Acura Precision EV Concept
Acura always seems to have something in store for Monterey, but this time it won't have an engine, and customers won't be able to get their hands on it. Instead, the Precision EV Concept will preview what we'll be seeing from the automaker in the near future in terms of design. The production version is to arrive later in the decade, and will essentially be Acura's take on the upcoming Honda Prologue electric crossover.
2. Aston Martin DBR22
Aston Martin has revealed the DBR22 concept, which will translate into a production version later on. The two-seat speedster commemorates Aston's lineage of open-air models, including the DBR1 and DB3S. The DBR22 concept is made of carbon fiber, and uses a traditional V12 engine. No electrification here.
3. Bentley Mulliner Batur
Bentley's bespoke vehicle division, Mulliner, is ready to reveal its next ultra-exclusive vehicle, the Batur. It will come in the form of a grand tourer, and its design will eventually trickle down to Bentley's future lineup of EVs.
4. New Bugatti "Icon"
A new Bugatti is on the way, and will be a new "icon" model. The anticipated Chiron successor, perhaps? Or it could be yet another few-off model like the Bolide or La Voiture Noire.
5. US-Spec BMW M4 CSL
The BMW M4 CSL is the limited-production, 543-horsepower flagship model of the 4 Series lineup, but right now, only the Europeans can order the most powerful M4 ever. Fortunately, Americans will gain access to this high-performance coupe when it makes its US debut at Monterey Car Week.
6. Cadillac Celestiq
We have already gotten a good look at Cadillac's Celestiq flagship sedan in the form of the concept-ish Celestiq Show Car, but not everything about this stunning EV has been fully revealed. But while the production version won't be revealed anytime soon, attendees will have the opportunity to get their first in-person look at the sleek Show Car version.
7. DeLorean Alpha5
DeLorean has made its return as a fully electric four-seater styled by Italdesign. This battery-powered throwback will be making its first public appearance at Monterey in concept form. The production version is said to have a range of around 300 miles, as well as a 3.4-second 0-60 time.
8. Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster
Hennessey's Venom F5 hypercar packs an incredible 1,817 horsepower, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, it has been announced that a roofless version will be making its way to The Quail. All of the standard version's performance numbers are expected to stay the same. The only change will be the sensation of the wind blasting towards you as the F5 sprints to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds.
9. Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato
The Huracan's long-awaited Sterrato off-road variant is finally making its debut, after we were shown the concept version back in 2019. This one-of-a-kind Lambo have the ability to ravage through tough terrain with its raised ground clearance, while offering the same supercar body.
10. Lamborghini Urus Evo
Lamborghini has another machine in store for Pebble Beach, and as hard as the Huracan Sterrato will try to be like an SUV, the Urus is much more likely to win buyers over. But what exactly is in store? A new Evo variant to go alongside the performance crossover's upcoming mid-cycle refresh.
10. Lexus Electrified Sport Concept
The Lexus Electrified Sport concept car will make its US debut at The Quail, serving as the centerpiece of the Japanese automaker's display. The Electrified Sport might go into production as a successor to the V10-powered LFA. Hybridized V8 and fully electric powertrains could be available.
11. Lucid Air Stealth Edition
Lucid's first model, the Air sedan, has launched successfully and production is now in full swing. So, is it time to unveil the highly anticipated Gravity SUV? No, not yet. Lucid still has its focus on the Air, with a new appearance package called Stealth. It adds darkened exterior features and not much else, and will make its in-person debut at Monterey. The electric car manufacturer also teased something blue, namely a "new addition to the Lucid Air lineup." All will be revealed at The Quail on August 19th.
12. Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric
Yet another old automaker is coming back to life: Meyers Manx. The reborn buggy has returned with an electric powertrain, boasting 300 miles of range. Pricing hasn't been released, but we do know that only 50 examples will be produced.
13. Porsche 911 Sally Tribute
Sally Carrera, a main character from Pixar's Cars, is already 20 years old. To celebrate, Porsche has created a special edition 911 called 'Sally Tribute,' which will be shown to the public in Monterey. It's based on the modern-day 992, but wears the same blue paint as the original, and includes Sally-inspired touches throughout. This one-off 911 will be auctioned for charity, with the lucky owner also receiving a car cover, watch, spare set of wheels, and a collection of drawings from Bob Pauley, production designer for the Cars franchise.
14. Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II
Rolls-Royce already revealed the refreshed Phantom Series II a few months ago, with small updates that include new wheel options, a revised front grille, and some changes to the interior. The Series II will make its public debut on the lawns of Pebble Beach, but onlookers might find have a hard time spotting the differences.
15. SSC Tuatara Striker
The SSC Tuatara is already a 1,750-horsepower track monster, with a top speed of 282 miles per hour. But the Tuatara is gaining a new track-only variant called the Striker, which adds a huge rear wing, some extra aero parts, and triple the downforce of its road-legal sibling.
Which Monterey debut are you marking your calendars for?
