Here Are The Most Popular Cars In America By State

In America, there are many different cars on the road, from Chevrolets, to Nissans and Porsches. But which ones are the most loved by Americans? Insurify.com finds the answer to this question with their annual insight with the most common cars by state. Pickup trucks found their way to the list, after sedans surprisingly dominated the list last year. Speaking of, there are no crossovers to be seen. Here is the list by state:

*Ford F-Series counts for F-150, Raptor, and F-250/Super Duty models.

Alabama - Nissan Altima

Alaska - Ford F-Series

Arizona - Honda Civic

Arkansas - Ford F-Series

California - Honda Civic

Colorado - Ford F-Series

West Virginia - Ford F-Series

Wisconsin - Honda Civic

Wyoming - Ford F-Series

The Ford F-Series is the clear winner here, taking over the majority of the midwest, as well as parts of the western US. The Honda Accord sits at second place, thanks to its domination of the eastern seaboard. It is followed by the Honda Civic, which is mostly popular with the western seaboard, and bumps last year's winner, the Nissan Altima, down to fourth place. As you may have noticed, the Nissan Altima and Honda Accord are both so popular in the east, they tied for Delaware. Below the top four, the very common Toyota Corolla made the list, and the Chevrolet Silverado stands as the only other extremely popular American pickup. The Toyota Tacoma is the pickup truck caboose at ninth place, and is the only foreign pickup that the States really like this year. The Chevrolet Malibu also makes an appearance as Indiana's favorite car.

The last Chevrolet vehicle on the list was a true surprise, since it was discontinued at the beginning of 2020. This was the Chevy Impala, the brand's last large sedan. We thought the Impala was still loved, but didn't expect it to be enough to be the most common vehicle in Indiana. Finally, the Honda CR-V concludes the list, but it didn't represent any state. Insurify.com didn't express any reasons why it is present on the insight, but the Honda CR-V is the second most popular crossover in America, so that might be why.
