Honda Civic Type R Spied For The First Time With A More Boring Design

Please don't ruin it, Honda!

The current Type R is the perfect affordable, fast dream car that looks cool. The Honda civic gets redesigned every five years, and it looks like it's about time. The current Civic is perfect by itself, from the cool Si coupe and sedan, to the sporty hatchback and Type R. Even the base model is pretty good. But, there are, of course, outdated parts, since the current Civic has been around for, well, five years.

It would have debuted in NYC, but it will now break cover in the coming months. The Type R and hatchback models are expected later. The prototype seems to be production ready, but the style might not be finished. The spy shots do not show any signs of exciting, unique style. The side profile looks like the previous generation sedan. How boring. Let's just keep our hopes up that it will be the same or better than the current Type R.
