The Hyundai Santa Cruz concept was introduced in 2015, and production was confirmed in 2017. The pickup won't be fully influenced by the concept, but it will differentiate from traditional pickups with a sleek slope at the C pillar. The body chassis leaked in the middle of an empty parking lot, which is kind of weird, but it helped several renderings picture the finished product.
It will compete in the decently crowded small pickup segment, currently consisting of the Honda Ridgeline and Toyota Tacoma.
These renderings are based on the overseas version of the Santa Fe SUV, which is what the pickup seems to be based on.
Don't expect the Santa Cruz to come any time soon, because it has likely been delayed.
