Since the reveal of the Sant Cruz compact pickup concept in 2015, Hyundai has confirmed the pickup to be an actual production vehicle. This image captures a reveal-ready version of it:
The pickup will likely share similar looks to the Santa Cruz, Concept Santa Fe, and Palisade. It might run on two four-cylinder engines:
- A turbocharged 2.0-liter with 235 hp (175 kW) and 260 lb-ft of torque
- An entry-level 2.4-liter with 185 hp (138 kW) and 178 lb-ft of torque.
It might start around $23,000. A fully equipped model could reach $40,000, $39,000 could be even more exact. It will reportedly be built in Hyundai's Alabama factory by the end of this year. Possible competitors in size are the Honda Ridgeline, GMC Canyon, and the Toyota Tacoma. Spy shots also show strong design cues, like a flowing, slanted roofline. That is all we know about Hyundai's upcoming pickup for now. The next spy shots will be posted.
