Jaguar XE To Be Discontinued In The US After 2020

The Jaguar XJ large sedan was discontinued recently to make way for the all-electric next generation of the luxury flagship. Also, we just learned that the XE compact sedan will not be around for 2021 either. At least, not in the US.

Jaguar thinks that the XF midsize sedan (the only Jaguar sedan left in the US at this point) offers more "superior value to entry luxury sedan buyers." The XE leaves the E-Pace compact crossover to be Jaguar's entry level model. Although, Europe receives good news for 2021. The XE will receive updated powertrains and infotainment in that market for 2021.

With the XE leaving a big gap in Jaguar's US lineup, we could expect an EV, crossover, or even hatchback as a replacement. Also leaving the US is Jaguar's only wagon, the XF Sportbrake.
