Lexus GX Gains Updated Black Line Variant For 2023

The GX is aging gracefully as Lexus's second-largest SUV, and a few upgrades for 2023 guide it into another year. This includes a special Black Line variant, some exterior color reshuffling, and a newly standard Mark Levinson sound system on the Luxury grade.

The Black Line edition is nothing new as it originally arrived last year, but it receives several changes. Based on the Premium trim, the Black Line adds a new surround-view monitor as standard equipment, and the black exterior finishes have been tweaked. The shark fin antenna and roof spoiler are now painted in black, and the skid plates, grille, and fog lights receive slightly darker finishes, with the taillights adding black inserts. New 18-inch gloss black wheels have also been added. There is also a new Eminent White Peal exterior paint option. Inside, all-new Boulder Gray seating is complemented by gray stitching, a black headliner, and matte black wood trim. The Black Line will be capped at 3,000 units.

Elsewhere, the Claret Mica and Starfire Pearl exterior colors have been dropped, with Eminent White Pearl replacing the latter.

The 2023 Lexus GX will start at $57,575, while the Black Line edition is priced at $62,310.
