New Tesla Model S, Model X In Development

The Tesla Models S made breakthroughs in technology and performance when it debuted in 2012. Since then, the Model X SUV (2015), Model 3 sedan (2016) and Model Y crossover (2020) have joined the lineup. The Cybertruck, Roadster and Semi are coming soon. Rivals are finally taking action from every angle. Many are startups, but established and well-known automakers, such as GM, Jaguar, and Porsche, are also becoming part of the trend. All of that has happened within a decade. Now that it's been awhile, the Model S is finally being redesigned.

We expect fresher, more aggressive exterior styling. We'll be okay with it, as long as it's not a stretched Model 3 like how the Model Y came to be a lifted version of the popular Model 3. Also, a more minimalist and clean interior is expected. Improved performance should be on the top of the list. The same goes for the Model X. Both will be produced at brand new assembly lines at the Fremont and Nevada factories.

Don't expect the new models anytime soon. Tesla might wait for rivals to take their shot first. Then, the surprise will come...
