Kia has some ambitious plans for 2022, since these spy shots show three upcoming models. For example, the next generation Sportage crossover; the Sportage hasn't seen much change since 2016, and the new Sorento, Seltos and Telluride, along with competitors such as the Toyota RAV4 and Nissan Rogue tells us that the Sportage needs a redesign, which is just what it's getting. It'll arrive around 2022 featuring huge fog lights and thin headlights (a recent trend), a futuristic interior, new engines, a larger footprint, and updated tech and safety. Here it is:
Also, the slow-selling Niro EV/PHEV/hybrid crossover that debuted in 2018 is getting a much-needed redesign. It will have sharp styling cues inspired by the Habaniro Concept:
The next Niro will likely keep all of its powertrains (hybrid, PHEV and EV) and we expect above average tech and safety, along with a bigger footprint and stance. It's spy shots are shown below:
This next prototype is a compact EV based on the Imagine Concept, but we doubt it'll actually be called 'Imagine'.
The new model will probably feature all new tech and safety features, along with Kia's brand new logo. We can see that it features triangular design features that aren't seen on the concept. Kia even describes this as "something you've never seen before".
