Next Kia Sportage Coming In 2021 With Big Changes

The 2021 Hyundai Tucson is, for sure, the most stylish crossover around. It would make sense for the mechanically related Kia Sportage to follow, and it will. The 2022 Sportage, codenamed NQ5, is arriving in South Korea this April, and America should also get a glimpse of it around then.

The fifth generation Sportage will share a lot of underpinnings with the new Tucson, including engines and transmission. Design-wise, the next Sportage will represent a new design language, and we expect huge changes. The reveal was delayed due to design tweaks, and the new Sportage is still in an early stage of development. In the mean time, we might get a preview with a concept version, just like how Hyundai's cool Vision T transformed into the 2021 Tucson. Like usual, the 2022 Sportage will receive a luxurious top trim with more power than Hyundai's offering.
