Ram Wants To Introduce An Electric Truck

Rivian was kind of the first to reveal an electric truck, but then the Tesla Cybertruck came, luring many automakers, new and old, to join the competition. We'll see electric trucks from Bollinger, Chevrolet, GMC, Lordstown Motors, Altis, Fisker, and now Ram. They haven't announced any specific details on the new model, since development seemingly has not begun.

It will be based on the Ram 1500, since it is the size of most upcoming electric trucks, and because it is most popular for the brand. We don't know exactly when the truck will arrive, but for now, Ram is preparing their new Rebel TRX.

When formation of the Stellantis brand goes fully underway, they'll offer everything from sedans to hatchbacks, SUVs to minivans, commercial vehicles to pickup trucks. So, the 1500-based EV should pull up at dealers in 2021 or 2022 at the earliest.
