The Audi TT RS sports car will no longer be offered in the US after 2022, putting an end to the most powerful version of the Audi TT we have ever seen, and a full decade of fun in the US. Fortunately, Audi USA is bidding farewell to the TT RS with a special Heritage Edition, which combines the best of the TT RS into one limited-edition package.

Audi is producing only 50 TT RS Heritage Editions, with every 10 units offering one of the five beautiful color options. Each of these colors celebrate the TT RS's past, and were offered on the Audi Ur-Quattro. They include Alpine White with Ocean Blue leather, Helios Blue with Diamond Silver leather, Stone Gray with Crimson Red leather, Titian Red with Havanna Brown leather, and Malachite Green with Cognac Brown leather. Every unit features an etched 'Heritage Edition,' followed by the five-cylinder engine's firing order and the Quattro emblem, on the right rear quarter window. The exclusive roster of standard features on the Heritage Edition includes 20" 5-arm rims with bi-color anthracite finish, an Alcantara leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift lever, alu-optic exterior trim, a sport exhaust system with black tips, OLED taillights, contrast-stitched floor mats with the RS emblem, and an electric spoiler.

Under the hood, the Heritage Edition is powered by Audi's award-winning five-cylinder engine. Yes, it won the "International Engine of the Year Award" for nine years in a row. This engine has powered Audi's victorious motorsport and rally cars, the Ur-Quattro coupe and, in recent years, the TT RS and RS 3 sedan. The five-cylinder powertrain gives off a distinctive tone, thanks to is odd number of cylinders and firing order of 1-2-4-5-3. It is also one of Audi's most powerful engines, with a 394 horsepower output, 354 pound-feet of torque, and a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds.

The 2022 TT RS, along with the Heritage Edition, will go on sale in early 2022. Not only will this be the last model year for the TT RS, but it will also be the sports car's ten-year anniversary for the US market. The limited-production Heritage Edition will start at $81,450, not including the $1,045 destination charges and dealer charges.

Will you miss the TT RS? We sure will.
