The Ford Focus RS Isn't Happening

Writer's picture: TurbochargedTurbocharged

After a week of confusion, Europe's strict emission rules won the battle. That means we won't see another RS.

If the Focus was still sold here, the RS would likely come here. But, Ford didn't have enough time to use engineering from Peugeot or Renault to build the track-ready Focus.

We'll miss the 400 hp, performance oriented styling, and, especially, the signature blue. The next generation would look great like this. Sadly, it just couldn't survive.
