The Lincoln Nautilus Is Finally Getting The Interior It Deserves

The Lincoln Nautilus doesn't have a good future, but that doesn't mean Lincoln isn't improving it in the meantime. Last year, the premium brand updated their crossover lineup by redesigning the Navigator and introducing the Aviator and smaller Corsair. The Nautilus was also updated last year, but it was only a facelift and a name change (the Nautilus used to be called 'MKX'). But, although extensive changes exist on the exterior, the interior basically carried over. But, it seems like that will change.

An image from a Ford employee at the crossover's plant hints that the 2021 Nautilus will receive an interior that resembles the rest of Lincoln's models. While the 2020 car's interior features a 8 inch screen with an abundance of physical controls, the new one has the Aviator's 12.3" SYNC 4 infotainment system with almost no buttons or knobs and mostly digital menus and controls. A digital gauge cluster is probably present as well.

Since the Nautilus shares underpinnings with the Ford Edge, we expect improvements upon that car's interior too. With a report claiming that production of these models will end in 2024, this extensive update won't be around for long. We still don't know if the Nautilus will get a new generation, or if it will be scrapped altogether. We'll see what happens in a few years.
