The Maserati MC20 signaled the Italian brand's return to sports cars, and even more significantly, its return to making vehicles that exciting and one-of-a-kind. The MC20 definitely fits that description, but Maserati has more in store for its latest mid-engined supercar. The automaker has announced the arrival of the MC20 Cielo, which will be a droptop version of the MC20 coupe.
In Italian, the world cielo translates to 'sky,' and Maserati has made it clear that the MC20 Cielo will be all about the open air. This is all that the brand is willing to reveal for now, with the exception of a few teaser images. The camouflaged convertible has its roof up to hide its big secret, but the camo itself wears a cloud pattern to convey a cielo-inspired theme.
the Maserati MC20 Cielo will make its debut on May 25, and will be manufactured alongside the MC20 coupe at the Viale Ciro Menotti factory in Italy.
