A ton of teaser images are out there, and they show Maserati's mid-engined MC20, the beginning of Maserati's bright future. It probably won't gain Maserati as much sales as their upcoming Ghibli facelift and large SUV, but it will at least help the small lineup grow.

So far, it doesn't look like a Maserati at all. The headlights and taillights seem huge, and the muscular shape of the car just does not match Maserati's profile.

This MC20 was caught testing on the highway somewhere in Europe. This car would look great in convertible form, which we hope would be available at some point. This one below looks more like a C8 Corvette.

MC20 stands for Maserati Corse 2020. Before this nameplate was revealed, we expected something more like the other models, which is fancy Italian names. We hope the MC20 gets unveiled soon so that we can see things like the interior.
