The Mercedes S Class Isn't Finished Yet

Mercedes recently announced that they still have confidence in sedans, and that's just what we like to hear from a luxury brand like them. Also recently unveiled was the revolutionary new S Class, featuring the next generation of their MBUX infotainment system, a new mild-hybrid assist, the latest in safety technology, and a fresh new look. Just when you thought it was all over, Mercedes has stated that there is more where that came from.

The S500 and S580 4MATIC models were already shown, but Mercedes confirmed the AMG S63e and AMG S73e performance models. Though hybrids, the S73e is to be the most powerful S Class ever, and the S63e sits just below it. The S73e will carry over 800 hp, and its extreme engine will be carried over to the 2022 SL sports car. The Maybach models will be the only trim levels to use the model's V12 engine.

the Maybach S650 will be unveiled this November, and compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. All other models will be a bit lower in the competition with BMW, Lexus and Audi being their main rivals. We'll have to wait a bit longer than other markets before we get the luxury sedan, but it will be worth the wait.
