Monterey Car Week in California is arguably one of the most luxurious auto shows around, where the most prestigious cars from manufacturers like Lamborghini, McLaren, and Bugatti show off their latest and greatest rides. Throughout mid- to late-August, you probably notice a lot of fancy new cars popping up on our news feed. Many new luxury and performance cars are on display during Monterey Car Week, which consists of The Quail, Concours d'Elegance, Mecum Auto Auctions, Concours d'Lemons, and much more. Since the show didn't happen last year, there are a lot of new cars being showcased this year. Here is a breakdown of all the new cars you would see at all of the Monterey Car Week events.
(1: Acura NSX Type S

Acura's NSX hybrid supercar is bowing out after a glorious five-year run, and to celebrate the model's contribution to the revival of Acura's performance vehicles, the NSX has been given the legendary Type S badge that the TLX and MDX also wear. Acura will produce just 350 units, with 300 of them meant for US customers.
(2: Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider

Aston Martin's limited production Valkyrie hypercar is one of the quickest road-going vehicles out there, and it now has a convertible variant to go along with the coupe and AMR Pro versions, the Valkyrie Spider. The carbon fiber bodywork has been carefully modified for the different body style, allowing the V12 engine inside to keep its incredible top speed and horsepower figures. Just 85 units will be delivered to customers.
(3: Audi Sky Sphere Concept

The first of three concept cars to come, the Audi Sky Sphere previews the future of Audi convertibles in the electric era. The empty hexagon-shaped grille will remain on Audi's EVs, and is set to be more of a design element than a functional piece. Another highlight of this concept is its ability to stretch or shrink its wheelbase. When it stretches, a long vertical intake-like accent is revealed, and the hood is longer. The Audi Sky Sphere won't directly translate into a production car, but future EVs will carry its design direction.
(4: Genesis G70 GT4 Gran Turismo

Genesis seems to be jealous of BMW and Acura's motorsport careers, as it has presented the G70 GT4 Gran Turismo Concept at Monterey Car Week. The prototype features a complex wrap in bronze and gray. The headlights are shaded yellow, much like the authentic racers from other automakers. In the back, the taillights have been darkened, and are accompanied by a large rear wing. The G70 GT4 will be featured in the Gran Turismo video game, along with a racier version of the Genesis X Concept. Both concepts are said to preview an actual Genesis race car in the future.
(5: Hennessey Venom F5

The production version of Hennessey's Venom F5 supercar was revealed a while ago, but Monterey Car Week is one of its first public debuts. The Venom F5's twin turbocharged V8 engine positioned in the rear produces 1817 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 1193 pound-feet of torque. It has the highest weight to power ratio in a road car, at 1,298 hp/ton, and it is especially amazing for a vehicle that weighs around 2,000 pounds.
(6: Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4

The Lamborghini Countach is back for it's 50th anniversary, and it is a very well-done retro throwback of a supercar. The new Countach may not have the original's pop-up headlights and boxy side intakes, but the overall profile is strikingly similar. Lamborghini will build just 112 of these 21st century Countach's, each having a 780-hp hybridized V12 (with a 48-volt electric motor) sitting in the engine bay.
(7: Pininfarina Battista

The Pininfarina Battista has finally been unveiled in production form, and it looks promising. The Italian EV will compete with the Rimac Nevera electric supercar. The Battista delivers up to 1,877 horsepower from its 120-kWh battery along with four electric motors. The 2.2 million-dollar supercar will make for a difficult decision at the configurator, as Pininfarina boasts 128 million color combinations for the Battista.
(8: Lincoln Anniversary Concept

Lincoln's Anniversary Concept is coming to The Quail this week, with a sleek, luxurious design that will look nice next to all the Bentley Continental GT's and Bugatti Chiron's. This concept is a design study brought to life that imagines what Lincoln's cars will look like in 2040. The Anniversary Concept was designed by four groups of students from the ArtCenter College of Design.
(9: Lincoln Aviator Shinola

Lincoln teamed up with luxury manufacturer Shinola to create plush Aviator Shinola Concept, and while won't be the brand's star of the show in Monterey, it was presented just before the event began. It is inspired by several of Shinola's products, including their line of watches and bicycles. The Aviator Shinola is definitely the most luxurious Lincoln SUV concept we've seen in a while.
(10: Pagani Huayra BC Pacchetto Tempesta

Pagani's Huayra BC hypercar is already very extreme, but the Pacchetto Tempesta special edition only makes it better. The 816-horsepower machine also has six exhaust tips in the rear, an updated aero kit, and its powerful V12 is now paired with twin turbochargers, squeezing out eight percent more power than the standard Huayra. No wonder 'Pacchetto Tempesta' translates to 'Storm Package!' This few-off Huayra variant celebrates the model's tenth birthday, since it first came out back in 2011.
