The redesigned QX80 flagship SUV will be crucial to rebuilding Infiniti's image as a relevant luxury carmaker, and the brand hopes to ensure the SUV's success by implementing a newly-optional 24-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere Audio System. The QX80 will be the first luxury SUV to feature such a system.
The new sound system was developed exclusively for the QX80 in collaboration with Klipsch. It incorporates titanium tweeters, an eight-inch "TriPower" subwoofer, and a 24-channel amplifier. Infiniti says that more "innovative audio technologies" are in store as part of the partnership, but they won't be announced until later this year.
The next-generation QX80 is due in the coming months as a 2025 model. As previewed last year by the QX Monograph concept, the QX80 will lead the way for future Infiniti models with a new design direction and plenty of upgrades in terms of technology.
"The all-new QX80 is poised to elevate Infiniti’s flagship with evolved design language, exceptional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology that will make it the new standard in the luxury SUV space," said vice president of Infiniti Americas, Craig Keeys. "As we embark on an INFINITI product renaissance, we can’t wait to share all the ways QX80 will deliver extraordinary comfort and convenience for all three rows."
