Alongside the debut of its sleek Vision Qe concept car, Infiniti has revealed plans for three additional models. One of which is the next-generation QX80 flagship SUV, which has already been foretold with the QX Monograph concept that was shown in August at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The other two, however, have not been shown before, with Infiniti confirming the arrival of the long-rumored QX65 coupe crossover and a similarly-sized electric crossover.
"Today is a pivotal moment for INFINITI as we announce four stunning new models are on the way," said Jose Roman, who serves as both the head of Infiniti and as Nissan's Senior Vice President of Global Sales. "These additions will reinvigorate INFINITI and pave the way to achieving our long-term plan: Ambition 2030."
QX65 Coming As Larger Coupe Crossover
While we've heard plenty of buzz surrounding a new QX65, this is the first time Infiniti has acknowledged its plans for the larger coupe crossover. It will serve as a more stylish, two-row alternative to the larger QX60, while also slotting above the compact QX55.
From what we can see in the teaser, the QX65 borrows heavily from the design of the new QX80, featuring slim piano key lighting elements and an illuminated Infiniti emblem. The crossover also benefits from a strong stance, a muscular-looking profile, and large-diameter wheels.
Vision QXe Previews EV Crossover
Infiniti also previewed its second fully electric model with a shadowy teaser of the Vision QXe concept. While it appears to be similar in size to the gas-powered QX65, it manages to differentiate itself with cues from the Vision Qe sedan. As a result, it has the same illuminated front lip design, a grille-less front fascia with evolved piano key lighting, and flowing bodywork. Since the Vision QXe is just a concept for now, we expect to see it in full sometime soon.
