Buick Regal To Be Discontinued

GM says that in 2021, Buick is discontinuing the Regal Sportback, TourX and GS. It is not a surprising move, considering the demise of the Cadillac ATS and CTS, the Chevrolet Cruze, Volt, and Impala, and the Ford Focus, Fiesta, and Fusion. We also guessed it when Buick did not showcase the Regal lineup at the Los Angeles Auto Show last November. Sadly, we will miss out on the Regal's facelift for China, just like how the recently discontinued LaCrosse got a refresh outside of the US.

The Regal's new facelift includes an updated front fascia and a few more minor changes. After the Regal's demise, Buick will have an all SUV lineup including the compact Encore and Encore GX/ST and the midsize Enclave and Envision. According to several spy shots, a new SUV is rumored to join the lineup and may be based on the Enspire concept.
